LIFAIO offers a permanent Free plan with no credit card and no time limit. Paid access is available through Member at $3.50 USD per month and Pro at $29 USD per month, as described on our Pricing page.

Cancellation: You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time through your account billing settings or by contacting info@lifaio.com. There is no long-term commitment. If you cancel, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again afterward. For more details, see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Renewal: Unless canceled, your subscription renews automatically each month at $3.50 USD per month, or at any updated price that we communicate to you in advance. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any price change before it takes effect.

Refunds: Except where required by applicable law or as stated in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, payments already made are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at info@lifaio.com and we will review your request.

Free features: Some core features (barcode scanning, product search, and official recall lookup) may remain available at no cost, independent of subscription status, as described on our Pricing page. All users who subscribe receive access to the LIFAIO app through a paid subscription. Verified businesses holding an active membership may receive publishing rights as a free privilege. LIFAIO does not sell advertising and does not provide marketing services.

Merchant publishing rights: Publishing rights are a free privilege granted to verified businesses holding an active membership. Offers published on LIFAIO must be unavailable elsewhere OR better than the merchant’s public offer for the entire time the listing is active (approximately 1 exclusive offer out of every 5 published offers per month). Enforcement: first report — written warning; second report — publishing range reduced for 30 days; third report — listing suspended and the case reviewed by a human administrator. No automatic permanent ban. Sanctions never affect the paid subscription itself. Not publishing is never a fault.

Merchant badges: Merchant badges are awarded by users, are strictly positive, may be withdrawn by the users who gave them, and only become visible once at least 3 different users have awarded the same badge. Badge counts are shown; rankings are not.

Professional subscriptions

LIFAIO Pro is intended for establishments. The verification certificates it produces are a record of a comparison performed on a given date against the official databases named on the document. They are not a certification, an inspection, or a guarantee of product safety, and they do not replace the obligations that apply to your activity.

Allergen information is drawn from Open Food Facts, a community database that may be incomplete or outdated. Product packaging remains the authoritative source.

Using LIFAIO Responsibly

LIFAIO provides tools to help users scan barcodes, review product information, check recall sources, and access related app features. You may use the service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the platform, its security, or other users.

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit, including account details, product queries, and any content shared through community or feedback features. Recall information and AI-assisted outputs are provided to support decision-making, but you should always review official sources before acting on time-sensitive safety matters.

Important Conditions

You must be legally able to enter into binding agreements in your jurisdiction to use LIFAIO. Accounts are currently available to residents of Canada and the United States. LIFAIO may decline registrations from other regions while the service expands. If you create an account, you agree to keep your login credentials secure and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized access or suspected misuse.

You may not misuse the service, attempt to disrupt availability, reverse engineer protected components, scrape data at scale, upload harmful code, or use the platform in violation of applicable laws or third-party rights. We may suspend or terminate access where necessary to protect users, partners, or the integrity of the service.

User-published deals and advisories. Deal and flyer information is contributed by users. LIFAIO acts as a hosting intermediary: we do not verify prices and make no warranty of accuracy — the merchant’s displayed price always prevails. Community advisory reports are published automatically, clearly labelled as not verified, and always display the official source link provided by the reporter so anyone can check it directly; LIFAIO does not verify them and makes no warranty of accuracy. All community content is community-moderated: content voted or reported as erroneous or abusive is removed automatically, and community reports expire on their own. Official advisories always come from government or municipal sources and are identified as such.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Québec and Canada, and any dispute relating to the website or services will be subject to the competent courts in the judicial district of Montréal, Québec, Canada.
